The small island of Kynthos also known as Kithnos lies due south east of Athens your port of boarding. This mountainous island is quite bare in appearance with vines and fig trees growing randomly over the terrain, however it is blessed with over 70 beautiful white sandy beaches and coves, which make this quiet island a hidden gem of the Cyclades. As with most Greek islands Kynthos is famous for its archaeological finds.
Hora, the islands capital is a typical Cycladic village, with its beautiful churches with their fine woodcarving, sanctuary screens and icons. To the southeast of the capital lies the monastery of Our Lady Kanala, the patron saint of the island stands on a very attractive promontory facing towards Serifos the neighbouring island, with a beautiful expanse of sandy beach.
Moored at anchor for the evening this is a perfect spot to unpack and relax, take a stroll along a deserted beach and enjoy a swim in the crystal clear azure blue waters of the Aegean Sea. Enjoy a chilled glass of wine as you watch the sunset and then dine on freshly prepared cuisine aboard your yacht.
After breakfast you have time to explore the island prior to setting sail to Mykonos.
